Prime Location
Located within the Sharpo Bar on the second floor of the Knavesmire Stand, the lounge is the perfect base from which to enjoy the Ebor Festival. With casual seating at the front and rear of the bar there is a view towards the Betting Ring & track on one side, whilst a balcony at the rear overlooks the Knavesmire Courtyard.

In 2027 the York Ebor Festival is from Wednesday 18th – Saturday 21st August 2027.
In the County Stand (York’s premier enclosure), gentlemen are required to wear a jacket, collared shirt and tie. Short-sleeved shirts, bow ties, cravats and dress shorts are also accepted. There is no formal dress code for ladies, although many choose to dress smartly (wedding-guest style).
The Grandstand & Paddock and Clocktower Enclosure have a more relaxed dress code.
The Racing Breaks Legends Lounge has no formal dress code but encourages racegoers to dress for the occasion.
Gates at York Racecourse open at 11.00am every day during the Sky Bet Ebor Festival. This is slightly earlier than on standard racedays.
The first race at the York Ebor Festival typically starts at 1.50pm each day.
The last race at the York Ebor Festival usually starts around 5.20pm each day.
York Racecourse remains open after the final race for a short period, with bars and facilities typically closing around 30–60 minutes after the last race. Exact closing times can vary slightly by day.
The Racing Breaks Legends Lounge opens when gates open at 11:00. The Lounge closes approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the last race.
Yes, we offer the option to book the Racing Breaks Legends Lounge as an upgrade only, without raceday ticket.
Yes, there is casual, unreserved seating located around the Legends Lounge.
The Racing Breaks Legends Lounge features a complimentary bar throughout the day that includes a range of beers, ciders, house wines & soft drinks.
Guests can purchase other drinks such as Champagne and spirits on the day, should they wish.
There is no food included in the Racing Breaks Legends Lounge package but there area huge number of food outlets located around York Racecourse and guests are welcome to bring food back into the lounge.
All Racing Breaks Legends Lounge bookings can be booked with an initial 10% deposit. A further 20% deposit is due two months after your date of booking with the final balance is typically due around 12 weeks before travel.
If you book closer to the date of the event you may be required to pay the full 30% deposit, or in full, at the time of booking.
Deposits for Racing Breaks Legends Lounge packages are non-refundable at any stage of cancellation.

Tickets for access to the racecourse are usually distributed 1–2 weeks before the event and are provided in the form of e-tickets emailed to you.
You will then receive a wristband / badge upon arrival at the Legends Lounge.
