Day 1

Friday 17th September 2027

Depart Heathrow on a direct flight to Arlanda (alternative departure/arrival airports available)
On arrival, take the Arlanda Express train to Stockholm Central Station, from there it is just a short stroll or quick taxi ride to the Grand Hôtel.
That evening you’ll have a chance to meet our tour leader and follow guests for a drink at the hotel, the remainder of the evening is yours to enjoy. Our team would be happy to recommend local restaurants just a short distance from the hotel.

Saturday 18th September 2027

Enjoy an luxury breakfast at the hotel
The morning you will have at leisure before meeting up with the rest of the group early afternoon to head to the Royal Stables for a guided tour including a chance to see the Swedish Royal Family’s ceremonial horses, carriages and cars.
Later in the evening we’ll take a stroll down to the river to board our dinner cruise that departs from Drottningholm Palace, part of which is a residence of Sweden’s King and Queen.

Sunday 19th September 2027

Enjoy another luxury breakfast at the hotel
We’ll transfer you to Bro Park to visit the training yards, where you’ll be given a tour of a leading trainer’s stables. We’ll then head on to the weighing room where we’ll meet up for a talk with a leading jockey. Finally we’ll head to the garden of Bro Park’s Manor House, where we’ll enjoy a Champagne reception with owners & trainers.
We’ll then head to the racecourse’s Panoramic Krog Restaurant, where we’ll have a dedicated table for the day that includes lunch.
Following a transfer back to the hotel you’ll have the evening at leisure.

Monday 20th September 2027

Enjoy your last luxury breakfast at the hotel
Have the morning at leisure until its time to head back to the station to take the Arlanda Express back to the airport.
Arrive back at Heathrow (other airports available) with first-class knowledge of the Swedish racing world!

About the Stockholm Cup International

First run in 1937, the Stockholm Cup has moved venues three times in its history. Currently staged at Bro Park, Sweden’s purpose-built racing headquarters (opened in 2016), 2023’s meeting featured a flying dismount from Frankie Dettori.

Stockholm Cup Day also includes three listed contests: the Lanwades Stud Stakes, the Tattersalls Nickes Minneslöpning and the Bro Park Sprint Championship. It also sees two jump races: HM The King’s Prize (over fences) and HM The Queen’s Prize (over hurdles).

Guests on 2023’s trip met Hollie Doyle. They also posed questions to Swedish racing professionals, including trainer Patrick Wahl and top jockeys Ulrika Holmquist and Per-Anders Gråberg.

Stockholm Cup International Dress Code

There is no formal dress code for the Stockholm Cup International. As an outdoor autumn festival, the emphasis is on dressing warmly and comfortably – practical layers, a jacket (winds can be brisk), and comfortable shoes for walking the venue are strongly recommended. Organizers love stylish touches like hats, dresses, and elegant outfits, but nothing is required. A popular optional Best Dressed competition (with separate Best Accessory category) invites visitors to showcase their look for prizes, adding a fun, fashion-forward element without any mandatory standards. This relaxed Scandinavian approach applies across general admission and most areas, making the day accessible and enjoyable for all.

Stockholm Cup International Flights

Our experiences include flights from London Heathrow to Stockholm Arlanda with British Airways.

Flights are also available from other UK airports with other airlines but may incur a supplement.

Onward flights are possible for those looking to spend a few nights in another European city either before or after your time in Stockholm.

Flight upgrades are available to Premium Economy, Business & First Class subject to being an option on the flight booked.
