Cheltenham Festival Champion Day: Tuesday 16 March
The opening day of The Festival, is headlined by the Champion Hurdle, which has been won over the years by some of history’s biggest names, the likes of Constitution Hill, Honeysuckle & Hurricane Fly. One of the most popular days, it’s where the excitement begins as everyone is buzzing to be back! Make sure you are there to witness who’ll be writing their name in the history books.
Cheltenham Festival Ladies Day: Wednesday 17 March
Day two blends top-class jump racing with high style, elegance, and an unmistakable sense of occasion at Prestbury Park. On the track, the spotlight falls on the thrilling Queen Mother Champion Chase – the championship race of the day – supported by other standout contests including the Brown Advisory Novices’ Chase and the unique Glenfarclas Cross Country Chase, each adding drama and variety to a world-class card.
Cheltenham Festival St Patrick’s Day: Thursday 18 March
Famously St Patrick’s Thursday, Day Three at The Festival is when we celebrate all things Irish, with the Ryanair Chase and the Stayers’ Hurdle headlining the action. Be sure to wear some green and head to the Guinness Village to enjoy a pint of the black stuff whilst you make the most of all of the Irish hits, jigs and Celtic reels!

Not only does it headline Day Four, but it’s also the feature race of The Festival for spectators, jockeys and trainers alike. Cheltenham Festival Dress Code
Style is as individual as you. The Cheltenham Festival is the perfect occasion to wear your best outfits and favourite accessories. The weather can be unpredictable, so you’re advised to dress accordingly.
Two-thirds of the car parks are on grass, so please bear this in mind and wear suitable footwear for the conditions.
During The Cheltenham Festival, fancy dress is not permitted in Hospitality, restaurant facilities, or in the Club Enclosure. Fancy dress is permitted in other areas as long as the outfit isn’t offensive.

The Cheltenham Festival 2027 takes place from Tuesday 16 March to Friday 19 March 2027.
Cheltenham Racecourse is located on Evesham Road, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, GL50 4SH.
Gates open at 10:30 each day. The first race is scheduled for approximately 13:20 and the last race around 17:20.
You can travel by car, train, coach or Park & Ride. The nearest train station is Cheltenham Spa (approximately 2.4 miles away), with shuttle buses available on Festival days. National Express coaches and Stagecoach services also operate to the course. Full travel details are available on the official Cheltenham Racecourse website.
Yes, but all on-site car parking for the Cheltenham Festival must be pre-booked in advance. No parking passes are sold on the day and cars without a valid pass will be turned away. Park & Ride options (including from Arle Court) are also available and recommended.
Cheltenham Racecourse is roughly 2 miles from the town centre.

You can secure your package with a 10% deposit. The remaining balance is usually due closer to the event (exact dates are confirmed at the time of booking).

No. Bringing your own food or alcoholic drinks is strictly prohibited. A wide range of food and drink outlets are available on site.
Only bags of an appropriate size for a day out (e.g. small handbags or small backpacks) are allowed. Large bags, suitcases, holdalls and large rucksacks are not permitted and must be left in the Left Luggage facilities outside the enclosures. All bags are searched on entry.
Children are welcome but must be accompanied by a responsible adult (over 21). Children aged 5 and over require a half-price ticket. Children under 4 are free but still need a ticket. Each adult may be responsible for a maximum of two children under 18.
Yes. Cheltenham Racecourse offers accessible parking (pre-booking recommended), viewing areas, toilets, lifts and a buggy service. Blue Badge holders should note that parking still incurs a charge during the Festival. Contact the racecourse in advance for specific requirements.
There is no formal dress code, but smart attire is preferred and commonly worn, especially in the Club Enclosure and hospitality areas. Check the weather forecast and dress accordingly.
