The Kentucky Three-Day Event is one of the most prestigious competitions in international eventing, attracting many of the world’s leading horse-and-rider combinations to the iconic Kentucky Horse Park. As one of only a select few CCI5*-L events held each year, it represents the pinnacle of the sport, testing precision, athleticism and partnership across the three Olympic disciplines of dressage, cross-country and show jumping.
Renowned as “The Best Weekend All Year,” the event offers far more than elite competition. Thousands of spectators gather to enjoy four days of world-class sport, a lively shopping village, local food and drink, family-friendly entertainment and a welcoming atmosphere that celebrates Kentucky’s rich equestrian heritage. Dressage – Day 1
The Kentucky Three-Day Event gets underway with the opening dressage sessions, where horse and rider perform a series of precise movements to demonstrate harmony, balance and accuracy. It’s the perfect introduction to four days of world-class eventing.
Dressage – Day 2
The remaining competitors complete their dressage tests as the leaderboard begins to take shape. With every mark counting, Friday offers a fascinating insight into the skill and partnership required to succeed at the highest level.
Cross Country
Saturday is the highlight for many spectators as competitors tackle the iconic cross-country course. Featuring challenging combinations, water obstacles and solid fences, it’s an exhilarating test of courage, stamina and horsemanship that often determines the overall standings.
Show Jumping
The competition concludes with the show jumping phase, where the leading combinations battle for the title. Every rail can make the difference, creating a dramatic finale before the champion is crowned in front of an enthusiastic crowd.
Kentucky Three-Day Event Flights
If desired, we can include return flights within your package.
Connecting flights are available from the UK to Louisville, with the airport just 10 minutes from city centre. Direct flights are available from the UK to Cincinnati, with the airport around 90 minutes from Louisville.
Flight upgrades to Premium Economy, Business & First Class are also available upon request.
