Mon 21st June 2027

• On arrival at OR Tambo International Airport, you’ll be met by our local team and transferred to your hotel for a two-night stay. Take some time to relax after your journey before joining your fellow travellers for a welcome dinner, where you’ll enjoy your first taste of South African hospitality and receive a briefing on the incredible experiences that await over the coming days.

Tues 22nd June 2027

• After breakfast, we’ll explore Johannesburg and delve into South Africa’s fascinating history with a guided tour of the vibrant township of Soweto. Accompanied by local guides, you’ll visit key landmarks including Mandela House, gaining a deeper appreciation of the people, culture, and events that helped shape the nation.
• We’ll also enjoy lunch at a popular local venue, offering the perfect opportunity to experience the flavours and hospitality that make South Africa so unique.

Weds 23rd June 2027

• After breakfast, we’ll transfer to OR Tambo Airport for our flight to Cape Town. On arrival, we’ll check in to our hotel before enjoying a free afternoon to relax or begin exploring this spectacular city at your own pace.
• This evening, we’ll visit the vibrant V&A Waterfront, where you can soak up the atmosphere beneath Table Mountain and choose from a fantastic selection of restaurants for dinner at your leisure.

Thurs 24th June 2027

• After breakfast, we’ll visit the magnificent Drakenstein Stud, one of South Africa’s premier thoroughbred breeding operations and widely regarded as one of the world’s most picturesque stud farms. Enjoy an exclusive guided tour of the property, including a stallion parade, offering a fascinating insight into South African breeding and bloodstock.
• We’ll then continue into the beautiful Cape Winelands to enjoy a leisurely wine tasting and lunch at a renowned local estate, the perfect way to round out a memorable day.

Fri 25th June 2027

• Today we explore some of Cape Town’s most iconic sights, beginning with a visit to magnificent Table Mountain. Weather permitting, you’ll ascend this world-famous landmark to enjoy spectacular panoramic views across the city, coastline, and surrounding mountains.
• We’ll then continue with a guided tour of Cape Town, discovering the city’s rich history, vibrant neighbourhoods, and scenic highlights before returning to the hotel later in the afternoon.

Sat 26th June 2027

• Today we enjoy a fantastic day of South African racing at the iconic Kenilworth Racecourse in Cape Town. Relax in the exclusive Pocket Power Lounge, where premium trackside views, delicious food, and inclusive beverages combine to create a memorable race day experience at one of the country’s premier racing venues.

Sun 27th June 2027

• After breakfast, we’ll transfer to the airport for our flight to Durban. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided city tour with lunch included, offering an introduction to this vibrant coastal city and your home for the days ahead.
• The evening is then yours to relax and explore the fantastic selection of restaurants and bars surrounding our hotel.

Mon 28th June 2027

• Today we depart for a memorable three-night stay at Rhino Ridge Safari Lodge, set within the renowned Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park. Surrounded by breathtaking African wilderness, this luxury lodge offers the perfect setting for an unforgettable safari experience.
• After settling in, enjoy dinner at the lodge before heading out on an evening game drive, where your first encounters with South Africa’s incredible wildlife await beneath the glow of the setting sun.

Tues 29th June 2027

• Today we embrace the full Rhino Ridge Safari Lodge experience, joining the lodge’s safari programme with unforgettable game drives through the magnificent Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park. Keep watch for an incredible array of wildlife, including leopard, elephant, lion, buffalo, giraffe, and zebra.
• Between drives, relax and enjoy the tranquillity of the bush, where luxury comfort and the spirit of safari come together for a truly memorable stay.

Weds 30th June 2027

• Another unforgettable day awaits at Rhino Ridge Safari Lodge as we continue exploring the breathtaking landscapes of Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park. Guided by expert rangers, enjoy further game drives through this renowned reserve, with new opportunities to witness Africa’s incredible wildlife in its natural habitat.
• Between outings, relax and soak up the lodge’s peaceful surroundings, where spectacular views, warm hospitality, and the magic of the wilderness create a truly memorable safari escape.

Thurs 1st July 2027

• After an incredible few days on safari, we return to the beachfront elegance of the Beverly Hills Hotel in Umhlanga. Time permitting, we’ll make a stop at the KZN Yearling Sales for a fascinating look at South Africa’s emerging thoroughbreds and how they compare with Australia’s. The remainder of the afternoon and evening is yours to relax or explore the local area at your own pace.

Fri 2nd July 2027

• This morning we visit Summerveld Training Centre to meet a local trainer, learn about South African training methods, and enjoy a relaxed brunch overlooking the gallops.
• The afternoon is yours to enjoy, with time for last-minute shopping at Gateway Theatre of Shopping or relaxing on one of Umhlanga’s beautiful patrolled beaches.

Sat 3rd July 2027

• Today is the moment we’ve all been waiting for — Africa’s greatest racing spectacle, the Durban July!
• Join 55,000 racing fans at Greyville Racecourse as South Africa’s finest thoroughbreds battle it out in the prestigious Grade 1 feature race. With world-class racing, incredible atmosphere, and plenty of excitement, it’s a day to remember — and hopefully, our earlier racing insights help us find a winner!

• Today is yours to relax and unwind after an incredible two weeks of touring. Enjoy some final shopping, explore Durban at your own pace, or simply soak up the atmosphere before your journey home. This evening, we’ll gather for a special farewell dinner, celebrating the unforgettable experiences and memories shared throughout our South African adventure.
