With crowds set to return to The Festival at Cheltenham in 2022, we still have a number of hotel options available in a range of locations to best suit your needs. We have all the information you need to make a decision on where to stay for the biggest week in the jump racing calendar.
The Festival is an experience like no other. Set in the heart of the Cotswolds, over 250,000 racegoers flock to the home of jump racing over four days in March. There is nowhere else you will want to be when you hear that infamous Cheltenham roar, when owners, trainers and jockeys battle it out for some of the biggest prizes in racing. Featuring 14 Grade One races, you won't want to miss 'The Greatest Show on Turf'. Last year's Festival was held behind closed doors, and with a large number of bookings having been rolled over to 2022, we recommend you book early to avoid missing out!
Here is an outline of some of the Cheltenham Festival experiences offered in our various locations with more information on why this will be a trip to remember!
If you're looking for the local experience, our Cheltenham packages may be for you. A short distance from the Racecourse and Cheltenham town itself, our Cheltenham experiences are perfect for those looking to get into the full Festival spirit.
Our Cheltenham experiences include one way transfers meaning you can either head into town after the days racing to soak up the lively atmosphere in one of Cheltenham's many bars or restaurants, or head back to the hotel to relax. There are plenty of taxis and shuttle buses from the racecourse to the town centre so the celebrations can continue even when the last race has finished!
The Holiday Inn Gloucester-Cheltenham is modern, smart hotel which will provide you with a comfortable place to stay during your visit to The Festival.
When not racing you can enjoy a delicious meal at the hotel's airy restaurant, which serves breakfast and dinner daily. Or you can relax with a light meal and a beverage in the modern bar and lounge which has a large screen TV to catch up with the days racing!
All rooms include satellite TV and complimentary WiFi and dinner can be added at an additional cost of £25.00 per person.
Located just off the M5, about an hour from Birmingham and Bristol City airports, the hotel offers free on site parking meaning you can make your own way there. If you are planning on getting a train to Cheltenham, Gloucester and Cheltenham stations are both a 15 minute taxi ride from the hotel.

Our Bristol experiences are the perfect match for anyone looking to get away for a few days, for a day or two at the races for a little more value for money. Whether you're travelling from London, the South West of England or flying into Bristol airport, our Bristol hotels are a popular choice.
Racingbreaks.com offer a variety of hotels in the wonderful and exuberant city of Bristol which straddles the River Avon in the southwest of England. The City is steeped in maritime history and the city-centre port is now a cultural hub with numerous restaurants, shops and cultural institutions.
All of our Bristol experiences are based on two night stays with tickets and return transfers to your preferred race day. Located about an hour from the racecourse, our transfers will give you time to read up on the days racing ahead.
If you do fancy the party atmosphere, you can either catch a train back to Bristol later in the evening from Cheltenham, or make your way into Bristol City itself.

A town synonymous with the famous playwright Shakespeare, Stratford -upon-Avon is conveniently located for those looking to travel from the North of England, as well as being close to Birmingham airport. Stratford station is easily accessible from all hotels with trains to Birmingham which run hourly and trains to London every two hours.
With plenty to see and do in the area, from visiting one of Shakesperes Houses to experiencing the works of the great Bard himself in one of the three theatres, Stratford has lots to offer. You may decide to visit the Shakespere Distillery, a local artisan gin and rum producer, or take a drive south to explore the Cotswolds.
Just like our Bristol experiences, all of our Stratford experiences are based on two night stays with tickets and return transfers to your preferred race day. Located just 45 minutes from the racecourse, our transfers will give you the perfect opportunity to sit back and relax ahead of a big days racing.
The newly refurbished Billesley Manor is the perfect retreat nestled in the Warwickshire countryside. Set in 11 acres of parkland, located just 5 miles outside of Stratford-upon-Avon, this stunning 16th century manor is a great base for exploring the historic town and the surrounding countryside. If you are looking for a quieter stay, the hotel also has lots to offer those who are happy staying within the grounds.

For those wanting to add something special to their trip, we have a number of experiences available to make it that extra bit special. We realise many racing fans are partial to a round of golf, so why not combine your love of both with one of our Celtic Manor Resort experiences. Alternatively you may be looking to combine a days racing with time to unwind and relax at a Spa hotel and where better to do this than at Ardencote, a new addition to our 2022 packages!
These experiences are based on two night stays with tickets and return transfers to your preferred race day.
Coldra Court is one of our Celtic Manor hotels, which is located in South Wales. This may seem like a distance away from the main event at Cheltenham however due to its excellent transport links the return transfer is only an hour each way, giving you the perfect opportunity to study the form and take note of your favourite runners ahead of the day.
The hotel itself is 5 minutes from the main the Celtic Manor Resort which is well known for its golfing events and well kept greens - a true Golfers paradise. This four-star super value hotel offers comfortable bedrooms, a Southern-inspired smokehouse restaurant, and health club which includes a pool and gym. The Coldra Court is located on the outskirts of the city of Newport and is only 90 minutes from London Heathrow Airport, 45 minutes from Cardiff and Bristol Airports. There are also a number of intercity rail services at Newport, with direct trains to Cardiff, London Paddington and Birmingham. Parking is available for a supplement of £7.50 per night.

If you're looking to go that one step further then take a look at the Ardencote Hotel, which is nestled in the heart of the Warwickshire countryside. Ardencote combines a beautiful setting with a relaxing spa and leisure facilities to create the perfect escape. This independent hotel boasts beautiful bedrooms and a stunning restaurant as well as being home to the Ardencote Destination Spa and an 18 hole golf course. Additional nights/racedays
If you are looking to extend your stay, additional nights, racedays and transfers can be booked to best suit your requirements. These can be selected when making a booking.
Racecourse Transfers
Return transfers from the hotel to the racecourse via coach are included in all experiences (apart from those located in Gloucester/Cheltenham). If you add additional race days to your experience we will include these transfers on each day you attend the Cheltenham Festival.
Transfers timings will be confirmed closer to your date of travel but as a guide will depart the hotel at approximately 0930am and return 45 minutes after the conclusion of the final race.
Payment Information
All Cheltenham Festival experiences can be booked with just a £50 per person deposit. The final balance is then due on Friday 7th January 2022.
