With what has been a long and difficult January for everyone in such hard times, we have been looking forward to the return of some Jumps action albeit from the comfort of our sofas. February has come around quickly and it is hard to believe that we are still not able to attend racecourses however, this weekend we can get stuck into the live coverage of the Dublin Racing Festival which takes place at Leopardstown racecourse which sits on the outskirts of Dublin, Ireland.
This is the first jumps festival weekend of the new year and certainly whets the appetite for the rest of the National Hunt season so many of us have been yearning for. The Dublin Racing Festival was launched in 2018, and is therefore a relatively new fixture but one that we are extremely excited for and itching to get to in 2022 when we are able to travel and go racing once again. There are many factors which make this festival a must for any racing fan but not least of all the fact that there are an incredible 8 Grade 1s with over 2.1 million in prize money. This is a chance for many of the top Irish Trainers, Owners and Jockeys to come together in a final bid to showcase some of their most talented horses of which many will make an appearance at the Cheltenham Festival.
The Festival takes place over the first Saturday and Sunday in February each year; 6th & 7th 2021 (5th & 6th 2022). A weekend race meeting is ideal for any racing fan and means that you can leave work on a Friday and be back in the office for Monday morning. Our experiences start from just £329 per person and offer everything you need to make the most of this incredible race meeting. Secure your place now with a £50 deposit by clicking here.
There have been many customers who have already rolled their bookings over to 2022 so availability is extremely limited so be sure to act quick and secure your place now.
An example experience includes the following;

Two nights accommodation at the Clayton Hotel Leopardstown

The Clayton Hotel Leopardstown is in the perfect location for this experience as it is located around the corner from the racecourse itself; close enough that you can walk if you feel up to it and the weather permits. However, if like most you want to save your feet and have a more relaxed start to the day, then there are plenty of taxis to jump in or even better, the hotel runs a shuttle bus service every 15-20 minutes.
The Clayton is a 4 star hotel with a modern interior decor which offers a warm and inviting welcome. The Superior rooms are designed to maximise your comfort and provide a perfect place to relax and unwind after your travels and long days at the races. All rooms offer a flat screen TV, complimentary Wifi and guests have access to the 24 hour gym as well as 24 hour room service. The hotel has its own Brasserie Restaurant and Bookmakers Bar, which has an excellent local reputation. Its bright, open lounge has a south-facing sun deck overlooking the mountains.
For those who wish to explore the local city of Dublin, there is a taxi rank outside of the hotel and a journey into town only takes around 15 minutes. If you wish to extend your stay and have the opportunity to head into Dublin to see the sights, this can easily be done and one of our agents will easily amend your experience to incorporate an extra night or two from just £90.
This incredible city on the Emerald Isle is famous for so many things, not least of all the amazing people who are always incredibly friendly and charming. If you have never been to Dublin before then this is the perfect chance to kill two birds with one stone and experience the ultimate sporting weekend with a group of friends.
If you enjoy a pint or two of the black stuff then the Guinness Storehouse Factory is a must and is one of the biggest tourist attractions in the country.
Tickets which are priced around €18, will allow you to explore the seven floors of the factory. The tour concludes on the 7th floor where you will be able to put your feet up and enjoy a pint whilst taking in views of Dublin's skyline.
Another hot spot that you must visit is the famous Temple Bar - there are many good drinking spots that offer a fantastic atmosphere but this is the real deal! This characteristic drinking spot is rather quirky inside decorated with many hanging lamps and boasting a huge Irish whiskey collection!
