The Grand National Festival is more than just the big race on Saturday afternoon. You can witness all 3 days of high quality national hunt jump racing with some of the sports biggest names running of the last time before the Summer. With four Grade 1 races on both Thursday and Friday no matter which day you attend you are such to witness top quality action!


Opening Day
Thursday 9th April 2026
The opening day of the Grand National Festival plays host to no less than four Grade 1 races. Racegoers are treated to some of the best horses of the season with runners that took part at Cheltenham often returning for a final flourish before the summer.


Ladies Day
Friday 10th April 2026
Alongside another four Grade 1 races Friday play's host to Ladies Day.
Renowned for its action on the course and entertainment and fashion off it. This is where big hats meet high heels. Where race lovers and fun lovers alike join for a day like no other.


Grand National Day

Grand National Day creates an atmosphere which can’t be replicated and experience that will never be forgotten. What lies at its heart is what’s captured the nation’s imagination for generations – that unparalleled blend of heroic effort and raw excitement!
Grand National Dress Code
There’s no official dress code at The Grand National. Racegoers are encouraged to come dressed to feel your best! Aintree is a spectacle of colour for all three days of the festival, with many using their trip as an opportunity to showcase their favourite raceday looks.
Fancy dress: avoid inappropriate or offensive outfits, as anything deemed vulgar or derogatory may be refused entry.
Sportswear: avoid wearing team colours/sports kits.
